Dental Pain

As someone who is dental phobic, one of the worst things to happen is tooth ache whilst abroad. I experienced this earlier this year. The pain was so bad that I had to find myself a dentist.

I was very lucky with the dentist I chose, Dr Azam Sandhu, he looked after me wonderfully with his lovely nurse. He explained everything that was required and constantly reassured me throughout the extraction, even giving me distraction techniques to use.

I have to say I was happier with the treatment I received with Dr Sandhu then with anything I have received in the UK.

Thank you Dr Sandhu, I may return to Barbados if I ever require dental treatment again!!

Root Canal Re-treatment

Though I’ve lived in Barbados for many years, I’ve never had one dentist. Over the years I’ve visited different dental offices and to be fair, I’ve received decent/good service most of the time. But for whatever reason, I never settled on one dentist. In early 2021, I began to get severe pain from one of my teeth and I knew that it was time to go back to the dentist. Instead of going back to the last dental office I visited, I was again moved to search online. A simple google search prompted me to the office of Dr. Golding, which at that point I never visited. I decided to roll the dice and make the call and booked an appointment with Dr. Azam Sandhu.

I am very happy that I made that decision and I can say without hesitation, that my search for a permanent dentist in Barbados is now complete. In Dr. Sandhu, I’ve found a great dentist and one who I intend to visit for all my future dental needs.

My first interaction with Dr. Sandhu was very comforting. I was greeted by a polite, friendly dentist, who listened attentively and asked relevant questions. After his initial checks, Dr. Sandhu gave me all the options, explaining each option and its associated pros and cons in detail. Later that day, he also sent me additional reading material via email to help me make an informed decision and assured me that he was available to answer any questions I may have. I decided on having a root canal procedure and as of writing, I’ve visited Dr. Sandhu an additional three times and I’ve been so impressed with his professionalism, attention to detail and care, that I decided to have additional procedures done and therefore have two upcoming visits scheduled with Dr. Sandhu.

What I admire most about Dr. Sandhu is his thoroughness, his dexterity and his inclination to provide information and keep me in the loop. During every visit I was aware of what was being done, he informed me of actions that may be a bit more uncomfortable ahead of time and provided suggestions to mitigate any discomfort during and after visits.

If you’re looking for a competent and careful dentist, and if you value good communication and being kept in the loop, then Dr. Sandhu is your guy. I am happy to recommend him to my closest friends and family and I am equally happy that my search for a permanent dentist in Barbados is now over.
